Make it make sense!

At times, we unnecessarily make our stories or instructions overly complex, crafting verbose narratives under the assumption that it – our complexity – will convey intelligence or sophistication. In reality, such approaches rarely achieve the intended effect. Overly intricate copy, which increases cognitive load, often will make users disengage or become frustrated with the material we present. Adopting a more nuanced strategy—one that prioritizes plain language and clear, accessible instructions—helps users derive sense from unfamiliar concepts and facilitates effective communication.
